My Story

By day, I navigate the corporate world; by night, after attending to my daily chores and three boys, I transform into an artist. This dynamic balance fuels my artistic process, which serves as a vital outlet for self-expression, allowing me to translate deeply felt emotions into striking visuals.

My chosen medium is charcoal, which I find inherently primal and honest due to its ability to create profound, inky blacks. This intense blackness, which I call "Umbra", represents the shadows within us, while the emerging forms define my art. My artistic method is rooted in emotional expression and introspection, drawing inspiration directly from the feelings I experience at the moment of creation.

My technique focuses on high-contrast charcoal drawing, using bold areas of light and shadow to convey mood and emotion with a minimalist approach to detail. This creates powerful and direct visual communication.

My process involves creating original charcoal drawings using reference photos that I use to define the shadows. These are then transferred to my paper and the filling in process begins.
